Create a beautiful, low-maintenance miniature ecosystem by repurposing a glass jar into a living centerpiece that brings nature indoors.

In this relaxed, hands-on workshop with permaculturist and artist Eileen Pun, you’ll learn how to layer stones, soil, moss, and plants to build a self-sustaining terrarium. With step-by-step guidance and clear aftercare instructions, this session is perfect for beginners and equally enjoyable for those with plant experience.

What to Bring

• A clean, sterilised glass jar with lid

  • Up to 15 cm in height

  • Minimum neck width: approx. 9 cm (wide enough for a hand)

  • Examples: pickle jars, Kilner jars

• Safe transport for your glass jar (e.g. padded bag or cardboard box)

• (Optional) A small decorative object (stone, figurine, toy)

  • Washed and dried, or sterilised (freezer or microwave preferred)

• No experience necessary
