Virtually unchanged for nearly 200 years, Mr Jefferson’s office was featured in the 2006 Hollywood production of Miss Potter. Starring Renee Zellwegger and Ewan McGregor, this much loved film was based on the life of famed children’s author, Beatrix Potter.

In recent years, Paul Hollywood filmed an episode of his popular Pies and Puds programme in our cellars, where he explored the Jefferson’s rum legacy and our delectable rum nicky. Paul was so impressed he took a bottle of our award-winning Jefferson’s Extra Fine Dark Rum home with him.

The Antiques Road Trip also featured The Rum Story in an episode, exploring The Courtyard on their travels around west Cumbria.
